I am taking a three day retreat at Clifty Falls State Park this week. I'd really need times like this to disconnect and spend more time in prayer and thought.
I went on a hike today. Well, actually, not a hike. More like an amble. I think I covered a mile and a half in about 4 or 5 hours.
But that's not because I'm old and fat. Well okay, that is a lot of it. But also because I love to stop and meditate on the beauty around me.
I also like to take pictures. I know a few people reading this blog like it when I post pictures because they either are not able to get out very much or they live in a place that doesn't have the same kind of beauty.
So here you go. I hope you see God in the beauty of His world.
Thank you so much, Daniel, for remembering and taking the time to share your local fall beauty with us! I have not been able to see much locally, as our trees are not displaying much color this year yet. Given how dry it was this year I am not sure we will have much fall color either.

Magnificent shots, Dan. I think of photography as a means of prayer and contemplation too.
